1. Handmade character
SERA products are handcrafted and/or natural materials. Handmade tiles naturally vary in colour, tone, size, thickness, texture, surface, edges, glaze, finish, porosity, crazing and shade.
These variations are part of the character of the material and are not defects where consistent with the product description.
2. Colour, shade and batch variation
Colour, shade, tone, glaze movement and surface texture may vary between tiles, boxes, batches, samples and previous orders. Later orders may come from a different batch and may not match the original shade, tone, thickness, size or surface character.
We recommend ordering the full required quantity, including additional allowance, in one order.
3. Size, thickness and edge variation
Handmade tiles may vary in size, thickness, flatness and edge regularity. Installation should be carried out by professionals experienced with handmade materials and able to work with natural tolerances.
4. Samples
Samples are provided to show the general colour family, texture, glaze and character of the material. They do not reserve, represent or guarantee the exact shade, batch, size, thickness, surface or finish of a future order.
5. Images and screens
Product photographs, lifestyle images, interior visualisations, digital renders and screen settings may affect how colour, shade, texture and scale appear. Images are provided for illustrative purposes only and do not guarantee an exact match with the final product or production batch.
6. Inspection and blending before installation
Before installation, the customer and installer must inspect all goods, check variation and batch consistency, and blend tiles from different boxes to achieve a balanced appearance.
Do not install tiles with visible issues before contacting SERA. Installation of tiles with visible issues may be treated as acceptance of those visible characteristics, without prejudice to mandatory B2C rights for hidden defects or non-conformities.
7. Recommended extra material
As a general starting point, we recommend allowing at least 15% extra material for cutting, selection, breakage, installation tolerance and future repairs. Some materials and layouts require a higher allowance.
Always follow the recommendation shown on the relevant product page or material guide before ordering.
